Experience
UC Solar (The University of California, Merced)
UC MERI (The University of California, Merced)
The University of California, Merced, called on Red I Consulting Services, Inc. to design and develop the web site for their new Energy Research Institute, UCMERI. I developed this site from start to finish, including content management, editing, layout and design.
Global Real Estate Solutions, Inc.
Global Real Estate Solutions in San Diego enlisted Red I to manage the development of their corporate identity, their website, and collateral materials (brochures and folders). I was responsible for all communication with the website developers, selecting photographs for the website, and all quality assurance testing. I also contracted with a separate graphic design firm for the collateral materials and solicited estimates from printers.
StorageNetworking.org (The University of California, San Diego)
This initiative of the Information Storage Industry Center at the University of California, San Diego targets professionals in the growing Data Storage Industry. The web portal was launched in the fall of 2002 and its usage has climbed to over 10,000 visits per month. Red I was involved from the outset with the User-Interface design, the management of the software development, and the testing of the software. Since the deployment, content management and channel marketing have been the focus, along with continuing to manage the changes in the software. I was responsible for marketing the entire education channel to U.S. universities and colleges, and saw to its content.
In the fall of 2005, Red I was called on to help with the marketing and planning for the initiatives more than 30 user groups. I designed email marketing campaigns and worked with mail servers, including the industry standard mail server, Mailman.
Fuel Systems Parts
FSP: Fuel Systems Parts is an auto repair and parts shop in Chula Vista, California. Red I designed the User-Interface of their web site, and managed the development. Marketing strategies were developed to help the company drive traffic to the website. The redesigned site was launched in June of 2005.
WritingTree.com
A project of the dot-com boom and a victim of the bust, Writing Tree was an interactive web site for writers to share their work and receive feedback. Red I was involved with the initial User-Interface design, managed the software development, and tested the software prior to deployment. Because of the small size of the company, I was called on to help with marketing, market research, and promotion as well as many other aspects of starting up a web-based business. The web site had over 4,000 Users within eight months of launch.
Other brief web development/marketing experience includes GivingAvenue.net, Webcerus.com, VenturePlex.com, and AngelMoney.com, most of which were also victims of the dot-com bust.
